Morgan Freeman was on Oprah today and they talked about his new cookbook to raise money for rebuilding Grenada after Hurrican Ivan. While it's not mentioned in the book description, they showed a picture of Orlando and said he was among a group of friends that contributed recipes to the cookbook for a cause. shiny.gif

Check it out HERE!

He said on Ellen that he wanted to learn how to cook (I think he was speaking specifically about French cuisine).

So. I wonder who gave him the recipe? lol.gif

Thanks, Tealle - we'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Me? Go into a bookstore with pen and paper? innocent.gif

Thanks, Tealle. Never underestimate the ability of a ka-Bloomie to find Orlando news in unexpected places! It's great to see him contributing to another worthy cause.

Amazon is listing the book as a presale with an October 3 release date here

I wonder what he'll contribute. Grilled calamari, maybe? Fruit kebabs?

Wheeeewooodoggie, the thought of Orlando puttering around in the kitchen is just dead sexy to me. heat.gif I must leave now and ponder the notion.

Well, it was at Barnes & Noble...and I was weak. blush.gif I'm a cookbook collector anyway, and have nothing like it. (As it's new, it was 20% off!) It's a beautiful book, and I love the way it's arranged (by nations/islands, with photos and narrations by or about various celebs).

I'll have scans (minus the recipes, you'll have to buy the book for those) up soon.

Just what I was thinking, Aliza. Or should that be goat tagine? lol.gif

Thanks, Tealle and Jan. That's something more for the Christmas wish list.

They aren't really his recipes as such; he talks about a favorite eating spot when they were filming Pirates on Dominica, Indigo, and the recipes are from the owner, Marie Frederick.

Enjoy. (Clickable)

(You'll be positively ravenous after the first scan. naughty.gif )
