Dairwenden,
As Heat is one of the worst celebrity/gossip magazines in the UK, I don't normally buy it but for Orlando I have gone against my principles and forked out £1.50 for this week's copy. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner so I can't post the article (entitled "From Geek to God") and probably wouldn't want to anyway.
It's not an article by Samantha - it seems to be mostly a cut and paste job complete with the usual errors and paparazzi pictures. There seems to be some original quotes, including a few from Samantha and a friend of Orlando's, but I have to wonder whether they really gave interviews about Orlando to a publication like this - I can't imagine he would approve.
However, the article is not TOO bad. I've listed Samantha's quotes below:
"Orlando was very creative. He was completely different to the kids who hung around on street corners. We entered bible-reading and sight-reading competitions at the Kent festival. And we'd spend weekends making up stories and putting on plays in our garden for our own amusement."
(On being accident-prone) "He fell out of mum's car once when she was driving us home. But before we realised, he'd jumped back in again. I literally turned round and said 'Where's Orlando' then the next minute he'd climbed back in and was sitting back beside me"
(On dressing her brother) "I was a Goth so I used to buy him clothes like Morrissey wore. I'd dress him up in suit jackets and Doc Martens."
(On his hair) "I remember him having a short back and sides with a little quiffy bit at the front."
Nothing too earth shattering then.
