Orlando Bloom Joining Andy Samberg Mockumentary 'Tour de Pharmacy' (Exclusive)

The HBO mockumentary comes from Samberg and Murray Miller-- the team behind 2015 tennis parody 7 Days in Hell. Tour de Pharmacy will poke fun at professional cycling and its continued, well-documented issues with doping among its athletes, including Lance Armstrong.

Miller wrote the project, which sees 7 Days helmer Jake Szymanski back in the director's chair. Samberg, Miller and David Bernad will executive produce, with Szymanski co-executive producing and M. Elizabeth Hughes handling producing duties.

Bloom is joining a cast that will be headed-up by Samberg, and includes Hamilton stand-out Daveed Diggs and Emmy nominee Will Forte, as well as Julia Ormond, Phylicia Rashad, Dolph Lundgren, John Cena, Mike Tyson and Nathan Fielder.

This project marks the second collaboration with HBO for Samberg and Murray and their Legends of Sport production shingle and is looking at the feature-length project as a comedy event.

In 2014, Bloom wrapped up his reprisal of his Lord of the Rings character Legolas in The Hobbit franchise. Soon the actor will be returning to the high seas in another one of his franchise roles -- pirate Will Turner -- in the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Bloom is repped by CAA, the U.K.'s Independent, Lighthouse, Felker Toczek.
