Great to know, even if the info might have been a bit too personal to share.

It was said with the knowledge that it would be shared, so I deemed it appropriate to do so. We have had communications in the past that Sonia asked that it not be shared, and we have honored that request.

No offense or critism intended, Jan. It just seems a bit unsettling. You have us so well-trained here at ka-Bloom. And with this advance warning, I have a reason to finally learn how to knit.

It struck me as I was driving this evening. If Miranda wants to keep her last name forprofessional or other reasons, she would be Miranda Kerr-Bloom. :kablaam:

That's great news about them wanting to start a family too. It's always been easy to visualize Orlando with kids hanging all over him. :shiny:

 I hadn't thought of that, HeySailor. Good catch.

Orlando and Miranda want to start a family right away.
Squee! Is it ridiculous that my eyes got watery out of happiness and excitement? Thanks, for bringing us this confirmation and update. My guess is Sonia shared the family part because she can't wait to see little ones running around. I mean if we can't, imagine what it feels like for her! :)

You guys are quite the wedding coordinators. I have enjoyed reading this thread every day.

Yesterday we did something we never do. Go grocery shopping on a Thursday, another thing we never do is eat dinner there but it just so happened we were there at dinner time. As I paid for our dinners, and my husband and son were in the bathroom I carefully looked around at their booths to find a place to sit. Only one was open and it had a newspaper on it but it seemed as no one was sitting there. I go over to the booth having a very hungry toddler with me so I just pushed the paper to the side, set down our food and began feeding her. When my husband and son came to sit and eat I had to move the newspaper again to make room for them. That is when I looked at it for the first time and there he was. Orlando's beautiful face. It was only the "Life & Leisure" section of the newspaper and it was announcing Orlando's engagement. It was a small section and had a picture from the recent cinematic celebration. It was a picture that had his beautiful big smile on it. :iheart: My 8 year old son reads the little section and after says "Huh, he's getting married. I never thought the day would come."

I wanted to share that with you guys because I know you'll all understand the excitement of randomly finding the newspaper and I thought you would like my son's comment. :) And of course I brought the newspaper home.

Chitos, that is awesome, how you found the particular section with Orlando's gorgeous picture and engagement announcement like that. I mean what are the chances of that happening. I also love your Son's reaction, that is too cute. :iheart:

Speaking of local news, my local TV station also announced Orlando's engagement on Tuesday and I was thrilled when I saw him! The footage they showed was from the POTC3 Premiere at Disney in 2007!

Thank you Chitos for sharing that with us.

I've reappeared to posting capacity (University takes over ones life somewhat), to add my heartfelt congratulations to the happy couple! And of course to wish them all the luck in the world in love, family (present and FUTURE!) and their amazing careers yet to come.

I couldn't be more thrilled for them. :cheer2:

It's so nice to hear good news! And a Doctorate too on the way! We all knew that boy was something special.

Congratulations indeed. Could not happen to a more lovely couple and I am wishing them a long and happy life together. May the paparazzi be kept blissfully ignorant of any of the arrangements, so they can actually enjoy the whole thing like a "normal" couple would.

Best of luck and love.

Napasha, you said it beautifully!

I hope they get the private space they need.

And if they ever need a babysitter, I can be very discreet and I have lots of experience with changing diapers and telling bedtime stories about the mighty King Aragorn and the beautiful Elven prince Legolas (worked wonders with my little niece!).

Yes, I can only recommend LotR bedtime stories! I seem to remember ample stories around Aragorn forgetting his shampoo and Legolas making fun of him. And then there was the pet spider. :teehee:

So, yes, as far as babysitters are concerned, I am sure Ka-Bloomie Gals are qualified. :lmao2:

Well, that was a short engagement. Miranda released this statement today - they've tied the knot:

"David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together," Kerr says in the statement. "I’m very much a part of the David Jones Family and I am very committed to my role. I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life."

I'm glad it was done 'under the radar', without the paparazzi, helicopters, intrusion.

All the best to the happy couple.

:bubbly: Here, here, Semmley! You said it!

Jan, thank you for bringing the happy news to us. I'm glad they were able to have a quiet ceremony. It makes me happy to know that.

Thanks for the wonderful news!

I'm so happy that he found someone to share his life with!

May they know nothing but happiness. And may their lives be filled with love and laughter.

Oh, and babies! Lots of babies!

Here's to the Orlando, and the luckiest young woman on the face of the planet.
