The 'other' Haven

Recommended Posts

Just to avoid confusion by Haven fans, shooting on another Haven started this week - for the TV channel SyFy. This SyFy Haven is a supernatural thriller based on a Stephen King novel. Set in Maine, natch. It's being sold internationally so confusion might spread past the US.

So when you start to see the advertising for the new show, don't confuse it with the OUR Haven, starring Orlando Bloom and based in the Caymans.

I never heard of Stephen King's "Haven" so don't worry I would never confuse Orlando's "Haven" with this other one. :shiny: In fact I am watching Orlando's "Haven" this weekend.

Thank you Jill for letting us know about this.

After reading your post, Kim, I popped over to IMDB and was surprised by the number films that came up when I typed "Haven" into the search engine:

Haven (2009) - Following the devastation of an epidemic that ravaged North America, one nurse sets out to cross the barriers between sick and healthy, the depraved and the righteous, in order to restore hope to her small town.

Haven (2006) - The story of a man named Haven and his girlfriend Ophelia and their self destructive relationship, as scented by mania and alcohol abuse.

Haven (2001) - A true story of a woman named Ruth Gruber who travelled to Europe to escort 1000 Jewish war victims back to the United States.

Haven (1997) - A financially secure young woman finds peace and friendship with an elderly, homeless gentleman.

Haven (1990) - A Danish film without a description.

Appartently, it's a popular title.
