:cheer2: Oh this is brilliant. Thank you so much HS, KLSMom, and Felarof for all the news. Along with the great cast (Emma Thompson, Alfred Molina, Peter Skarsgaard) the movie is written by Nick Hornby, who wrote the great novels About a Boy , and High Fidelity which were both made into stellar movies. There's a lot of quality here. This could be a great project for Orlando. I hope his part is meaty.

And I'm glad it's filming in London and is a British production. I'm jazzed for this.

Again, thanks for the news.

Great news! I was so waiting for a new movie with Orlando in it!

I know About a boy and High Fidelity and I like both. If An Education is as good as these movies are: :cheer2:

Hopefully they will not let us have to wait too long for the movie to be released.

Great news!

And a huge sigh of relief! I had almost given up hope of seeing him in another film. I know, it was stupid of me, but I feel a lot better now. I shall keep a weather eye on the horizon and await further news with eager anticipation!

We should get Napasha and her good contacts to British law enforcement to try and find out, which London streets will serve as film set! Do I get time off during March and April? :w00t: ..checking office calendar.

Oh I'm so happy he's signed for a new project! It's seems like an eternity since we've last seen him in a film. I'm a liiiiittle disappointed that he's not going to be the lead man (a.k.a. The Playboy, man I would've loved to see him play a role like that) but I'm glad he's going to be in it.

Oh and Rosamund Pike? L.O.V.E. her!

Thought I might find your comment before mine :lmao2:

Great news indeed. I am soooo going to London if he is there and I can wing it. :naughty:

As for the above, I shall do my best!

Napasha - on the job!

I have to say, when I read about this, I was excited for soooo many reasons! First of all, I've really missed Orlando on the big screen - it hasn't been the same not looking forward to a film of his!

Then there's the fact that he's co-starring with Rosamund Pike who I love to death - and as a charmer no less!!

I really hope this isn't just another cruel rumour, my poor heart wouldn't be able to bear it. :blow:

:yahoo: What a news to kick off my day! Thank you so much ladies! :high5: I've been praying for this. Whew! Finally! Just the cast itself is phenomenal.

Eagerly waiting for more updates. :w00t:

Made Variety's 2007 list of best unproduced British screenplays.

This just made my day and week too! :hellyeah:

Bell-bottoms! Though if he's a businessman, we may only see him in suits.
Did someone say Suits!? :yess: The Suit!Slut in me is doing cartwheels.

I'm glad he's getting back home to do a movie. I remember many an interview where he mentioned wanting to do more work in British films. I do hope he has a fantastic time. Emma Thompson? Could you ask for a better cast-mate?

Thanks to everyone who's contributed to adding the bits and pieces together for the rest of us so that we know a bit about what's going on!
