I realize this is strictly personal preference and all, but I think Orlando does comedy so well that he should consider doing more. :shiny: He has a great sense of timing and he just looks so derned cute doing it!

It's probably a good thing that I'm not his agent. :paperbag:

I've felt this way since Calcium Kid. He certainly does have great timing. (As long as it isn't something like "Dude, Where's My Car?" :fear: )

Thank you, Jan, for bringing us this bit of hotness on a cold winter day. Much appreciated!!

I just picked up the Fall Preview issue of TV Guide and there is an article about the new season of Extras in it with the picture of Orlando and Maggie. The article mentions that Orlando was nervous and extremely humble. :wub: I agree with all of you that he has great comedic timing and I would LOVE to see him in more films that would show us his goofy side. :teehee:

There is no reason to add my 2 cents here. It's all been said.

I'm waving my hands while muttering, "mmmmm, pinstripes, mmmmm."

What's killing me is that:

1) I don't receive HBO;

2) This show is up against the season opener of "24" and, well, erm, humph, in this case, Jack Bauer owns the night.

I know, I know, blasphemy!

Having said such, I can receive HBO for a month and watch pinstripe man "On Demand." That is my plan!

I need to go away again. Too much rhyming! :blink:

From the TV Guide article (mentioned by Rascal a few posts up) written by Ricky Gervais. The full article is here

Episode 1 opens with a clip of a Hollywood romantic comedy starring Orlando Bloom as a nonreconstructed barrister who comes up against his estranged wife in a courtroom battle. You only see one scene, but it's great fun to do. We even give the fake films titles that are never seen or mentioned — just for our own amusement. Ross Kemp's TV-movie in Season 1 was "Nelson — England Expects"; Ben Stiller's gritty Balkans drama was called "Do Angels Bleed?"; and Kate Winslet's war epic about nuns hiding Jews from the Nazis was titled "Sisters of Mercy." So what do you call a Hollywood romantic comedy starring Orlando Bloom as a barrister pitted against his ex? "Rejection Overruled," of course. Maggie, played by Ashley Jensen, is an extra on the film and throughout the episode finds out what the "real" Orlando Bloom is actually like.

Orlando was fantastic. He was very professional, approachable and, believe it or not, very humble. He said he was nervous about the role. Nervous? Britain's leading pinup actor from two of the biggest trilogies in history, nervous? Kate Winslet said the same. As soon as I had put them off a few times for my own amusement and ruined a couple of takes by corpsing, the nerves went. That's what a great director I am. Selfless.

Thanks for the article, Christine. I did see it in the TV Guide magazine, but didn't buy it to scan since the pictures weren't new. I love what Ricky said about Orlando, not that I was surprised about it. But it's good to know that others are finding that Orlando is a humble person, and very professional when it comes to his work.

I finally got a chance to see this ep last night. I've got to say that I share some of tatoola's concerns, but I got a big tickle out of both the show itself and Orlando's performance. As for the possibility of Orlando appearing on The Simpsons, I'd love that. I've watched them ever since it started on the Tracey Ullman show. I was also tickled to see Ashley Jensen, who I recognized from Ugly Betty (another show I absolutely love).
