lucky_monkie13
The Disney Store is bringing out some new shirts this week, they look pretty cool, I got mine three weeks ago because everyone at my local Disney Store knows me as the "Pirate Girl" and they tend to sell me stuff early because of a little fiasco that happened a few months ago that had to do with some miscommunication with me.you can read the full story wwwaaayyy back in this thread somewhere! I loved the long-sleeved tees that they had! Amanda
Noggz
I went shopping in Bluewater recently, which is the only place with a Disney store in Kent as far as I know, and of course HAD to go in there. They had loads of Pirates stuff. My Mum bought me a red glass with Will on it, and my sister bought me a cardboard treasure chest filled with sweets. I just thought I'd add to my list of Pirates stuff.
LovesHerJeep
Probably you all already know about this, but I thought I'd share anyway. My birthday was Sunday and my best friend sent me a gift which I received today. A fleece blanket. With Will Turner's face practically the only thing on it. I gasped. I'll try to get a picture of it. It's my new favorite thing. Jeep
Kim
I just got back from New Hampshire and they have the Disney Store at the Rockingham Mall. We went there to get my Godson's Halloween costume, he wants to be Woody from Toy Story, and they had a huge Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest display! They had costumes for Captain Jack and Davy Jones and they also had figures for all the characters and bigger ones of Will, Jack & Elizabeth, I had all I could do not to buy one for myself! You see they don't want me to buy anything for myself between now and Christmas, so that way they can get it for me. But then while we were having lunch, my Mom went back to the Disney Store and I think she might have got me Will Turner for Christmas! :cheer: I don't know if it was the hatchet one you were describing earlier or not but he is wearing the coat and his hair is down just like you described! So it looks like its going to be a great Christmas indeed! POTC: DMC DVD, Haven DVD and possibly Will Turner himself! Kim
Welshwoman
Ladies, Thanks for describing all the POTC goodies that you've recently found. I may have to check out the Hallmark ornament. Hopefully our mall store that stocks Hallmark will have it. The fleece blanket with Will's face on it sounds good, too. I've always wanted a handsome pirate to keep me warm. Kit-Kat
I can't wait to see the fleece blanket and last night I found the POTC costumes on the Disney website and your dog can dress up as a pirate too. Also, at Wal-Mart and other retailer stores like Wal-Mart they have POTC Jack Sparrow costumes for little boys. Thought I would inform my fellow Ka-Bloomies for that incase they wanted to get their little Ka-Bloomie boys to dress up as Jack with the beard and all. ~Kit-Kat~
LovesHerJeep
Talked to my friend tonight and the blanket is indeed the one from the ABC catalogue. I love it! I can't think of a nicer way to stay warm! Jeep
reeceehorses
I had to tell everyone about this as soon as I saw it. I was looking through advertisement for Best Buy and this fabulous item :cheer: appeared. It was a regulation size pinball machine for POC DMC w/Will & Jack & Elizabeth all over it. How great would that be to have our own Will Turner staring at you everytime you played. Happy Halloween :blackcat: everyone! reeceehorses
Anar
Reeceehorses, that reminds me! I saw a Pirates pin ball machine at Costco (which is a big bulk retailer, I am not sure if it is nationwide.) I don't think it was regulation size, it seemed rather small and a little 'plastic'. But it was very cool! I had to stop and drool over Will. HeySailor
"Why is there never any rum?!" At last, we now know. The producers gave it to the crew for Christmas. Here's the first POTC:AWE product tie-in although you couldn't distinguish which POTC from looking at it (and here we are without a thread for it!). AICN has a photo of the gift recently given out to the AWE crew from Jerry Bruckheimer: 750 ml of 80 proof PYRAT Rum. No chance that this will be found in our local shops. See it for yourself at http://www.aintitcool.com/node/31133 Imagine the rum balls made from that!
Jan
80 proof?? I'd get tipsy just from holding the bottle!
rebecca
That's a nice gift, thanks for bringing that over, Jill. One can order the gift bottles, with customized message and gift wrapping. $65 each. See here
jennifer
When I went grocery shopping today at Winn Dixie, they had a big display with a ton of POTC:DMC merchandise from key chains to things you can put in your hair. I got two keychains and a necklace. Here is a picture of what it looks like.
HeySailor
One can order the gift bottles, with customized message and gift wrapping. $65 each. See here Thanks for finding the product, Jane. If I had known this BEFORE Christmas, I could have done some one-stop shopping! This link gave me an error message but I was able to find the rum under Spirits.Rum.the 3rd page. Less than 355 days to Christmas 2007 . ETA: I wasn't kidding about shopping for Pyrat Rum. It's not available everywhere but if you can find it, buy it. It has the reputation of being the best tasting rum around. It's fans wouldn't dream of diluting it with any other ingredients. It's meant for sipping. or swigging like Capt'n Jack. Pyratt XO Reserve is a slect blend of fine 15 year old Caribbean rums by Patron in Anguilla. It's smooth taste and delicious flavor is complimented by its rich amber color. Pyrat XO Reserve is excellent over ice with a twist of lemon. :oh:
mames71
I saw this morning that K-Mart has POTC packaged Valentines. Didn't have a chance to check out the pictures, but for $2.99, I might have to buy some even though I don't have kids! And our Wal-Mart finally got in miniature Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman ships. I can't wait to load up on stuff while down at Disney World in two weeks!
McJules
I came, I saw and I bought the Valentines! They are photos from COTBP but it's Will on a Valentine And as mames said for $2.99 how can you resist mate? I got mine at CVS yesterday. I'll try to take a photo and post so you can see them. Welshwoman
Hmmm. K-Mart, huh. Thanks, mames and McJules. The price is definitely right. Will on a Valentine definitely does it for me. Jack, too. I'll be checking it out. Barbara
McJules
I'm sorry I still haven't taken the photo. :paperbag: Today I saw at the grocery store a different version of the POTC: DMC Valentines. These seem to only have one image on all which was the movie poster with the 3 of them. These came with a heartshaped candy in each one that looked like one of those gummy candies. I passed on them. I don't need the candy.
HeySailor
Although this paperback book covers all 3 movies, this seems like the right thread to place it. Now available for pre-order at amazon, "Bring Me That Horizon: Pirates of the Carribean - The Making of the Swashbuckling Movie Trilogy" By Michael Singer. 160 pages, available June 1, 2007. Please remember to support ka-Bloom by using their link when shopping at Amazon.
mames71
While at Borders yesterday, I bought the storybook/CD for DMC for $12.99. It's like those old book and record (45 rpm) sets from many years ago. The narrator reads the story, and when it comes to the dialogue, the voices are pulled from the movie. The CD fits inside the cover and you can see it from the outside. It's really cool, and lasts about 22 minutes. So now you pop the CD in your car's stereo and "watch" the movie on your way to work. Buttons
My parents got me the Sword Thrusting Will doll for Christmas. I became ridiculously excited when I opened it. And they didn't even think less of me for it.
Buttercup
I got Final Battle Will Turner and dashboard mount Talking Captain Jack Sparrow for Christmas. I love them. The Jack Sparrow isn't a good likeness, but it sounds like Johnny. It says things like "Rocks! There be rocks up ahead!" I did NOT put it in my car. I would wreck. I took Captain Jack to work. We use him like a magic eight-ball to make important decisions like where to go for lunch. Final Battle Will Turner has holes in his clothing that are in questionable for a toy. :oh:
Beth37
I saw a pillow in the Disney store that has Will and Jack on it. It's roughly 1 by 2 feet rectangular. Also, the KayBee stores near me have all their POTC merchandise 50% off. Somehow I managed to resist these things, but it was hard! Buttercup, I love your use for the talking Jack Sparrow! :lmao: Beth
McJules
Beth, the Disney store had that pillow too. I saw it last week. Okay, as promised, here are the Valentine's. We haven't opened the box yet so I don't know what is on the poster. And did you see on the back? "5 Giant Cards for Special Friends"!
