It is on Showtime now and I have to say it is pretty decent, for a "collabarative"(sp) movie. I have watched it three times and think some of the segments are so sweet! His is adorable and believable. It was not given a chance. And, of course, I LOVE New York City, so it was love at first sight.

Adrianne, I know, we are prejudice. But, they will be beautiful, but not as much as ours!
Glad to see you!

Come on, here is to the most gorgeous babies, EVER!!!!
And I am a baby freak. They will rival in beautifulness the Jolie-Pitts offspring, I dare to say. Just saying.
Congrats, O & M

Ok, I watched it in my "flu" phase and it is a guilty pleasure, because the plot is silly and the characters are silly but endearing, and the guy who is Paolo is quite delicious and is OB's doppleganger. It is enjoyable, when you are hacking up a lung and drinking tea and not going to work!! But, I am recovering for anyone who cares.
Love you guys,
I remain a recovering

Ok, I am the bad guy, I could not make any sense of the movie, but he is in the last 3 seconds with Gwenyth. I don't understand the whole thing, the film. Whatever. He looks cute.

Well, seeing as this band is one of Louisville's favorites and was all over my public radio station when their first album came out, it will be interesting to see what you think of them. I, for one, think they are awful, they sing to much "reverb" and I swear, their instruments play a different song than what they are singing!
They always sound off key. But, people around here are crazy for them and they say I am nuts. So, I would like to see what everyone else thinks. They were ok in "Etown", because Jim James didn't sing into his tin can!! Paul Schneider sang the vocals and they are ok as a band. Ok, sorry, I am done.

"The English Patient" soundtrack is so magical and etherial (sp) and it does something to me I cannot explain, so anything Gabriel Yared does, is very interesting to me, it is so visceral. I know I am not explaining myself so well. Sorry. But I feel it, in my soul. I will be awaiting this expectantly. I know, I know, my sentence structure stinks, hey, I am watching baseball, and trying to multi-task. OK, I suck at it. See you all in a week, going to NYC.

Like Bjnno1, I am way late to this party! Wonder why us Louisvillians are so late seeing this movie? Anyway, I was very surprised at how good it was and OB's performance was wonderful. I then realized that at the time the movie was out, I had read too many bad or so-so reviews, that I thought I would not bother. That was stupid! So, I have learned a thing or two about reading reviews. Grain.Of.Salt.

"...Orlando is a treasure.." I love that. Thank you, he really is. And I am way too old to feel this way. It is rather magical.

O.M.G. Jan, Spanky, you are killing me. All of you are making me cry with laughter!! We don't care about any stinkin' critics' review. We know he is good and we will not listen to any of the other crap. Period. Mmph.

Yes, I am so rude, thank you for sending flowers. I may send my own.
I am always weeping, with his messages. Does that mean I am an old lady, or that I am sentimental?? Or, is it both??

You rock my world, thank you and you all are killin' me. I just don't know how much more I can take.

MI and tatoola, majestic in your reviewing of the play, and I could see it before me. Thank you so very much. I so enjoyed all of your words.

Thanks for all the goodies, ladies and gents. And I agree with Geri, it brings back memories for me, too. I was so struck by how much better looking in person he was! I was speechless, but as Jan said, he puts you at ease, so it was easy to speak to him.
I echo Barbara, we are so grateful and we are so unworthy of all of this goodness. Thank you!!
I feel like I am (almost) there, and may borrow from my 401K to get to London. How crazy is that????
