Brian Epkeen is a free-wheeling officer in the homicide branch of the South African police in Cape Town, whose family was originally involved in the establishment of apartheid. He and his chief deal with crime that inevitably exists in sprawling areas of un -and under- employed people, crime exacerbated by gangs, both local and from other parts of Africa. Echoes of apartheid still resound in the shadows of a society struggling toward reconciliation.

A thriller, it centers on a frustrated doctor (Orlando!) looking to impress his superiors and colleagues. When his 18-year-old patient, admitted for a kidney infection, provides him with the esteem he so craves, the doctor tampers with her treatment so that she'll have to stay at the hospital with him. White coat or scrubs, hmmm?

Main Street

The story centers on a diverse group of residents of a small, economically moribund American city facing the consequences of change. Orlando plays the small-town policeman.
